My name is Cathy and I was born on a Sunday in August 1963. After studying literature and training as a bilingual (French/English) executive secretary, I worked for more than thirty years as a Human Resources Director in an administration. I have always been interested in psychology, philosophy and spirituality. The loss of loved ones and the painful trials of life that I was able to overcome, led me to accompany, help, support and comfort people in moral distress and suicidal.

Indeed, one can never better understand and accompany suffering than by having experienced it oneself.

At the beginning, it is by wanting to honor in the depths of my heart the memory of two loved ones who disappeared while still very young by disease and suicide; both gone at the end of the summer, on September 21 and 22, that I created this blog in a positive way and turned towards life.

"Life for Eternity" is also based on my experience of accompanying people in palliative care and at the end of life and those in moral distress and suicidal, as well as on my personal experiences and on constantly renewed training and research.

This knowledge has led me, in response to demand, to recreate this blog in French https://laviepourleternite.blogspot.com/, and then to manage four bereavement groups:

    - on grief in general (one French group, one Canadian group)

    - on the loss of a child

    - on the loss of a loved one by suicide and more specifically on the loss of a child by suicide.

as well as a facebook page in French https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063229060273

and another one in English : https://www.facebook.com/Life-for-eternity-109655613772833

Less present on the net, I now accompany on the ground young and not so young French or foreigners in moral distress and I never stop learning, evolving and growing.

All these experiences, infinitely rich, have offered me and will continue to offer me magnificent encounters, beautiful friendships, unforgettable moments and lessons of life. They have also allowed me to approach doctors, psychologists, writers and even a prime time TV show to talk about suicide and so much more!

So, I dare to hope that my suffering, my personal journey and my experiences will not have been in vain and that they will help you too, through these supports, to overcome yours and move forward on your own path.
